10-Man Platinum Stars hold Mamelodi Sundowns 2-2

Absa Premiership: 10-Men Platinum Stars held Mamelodi Sundowns to a 2-2 draw in an the Absa Premiership fixture played at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Thursday night Football.

Hosts Mamelodi Sundowns missed on a chance to go top or close down at the run away log-leaders Bidvest Wits after being held to a draw by a relegation threatened Dikwena.

What A thriller!

The Brazillians opened the scoring early in the game through defender Thabo Nthethe but the lead was short-lived with Ndumiso Mabena finding the equalize to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Shortly after the half-time break Mabena grabbed the lead for the visitors but the lead were later cancelled as Yannick Zakri put one back home in a close range after Dikwena defence failed to clear the set-piece.

Dikwena were reduced to 10-men when Siphamandla Mlilo was shown his second yellow card in injury time, but Sundowsn failed to take advantage as sides shared the spoils.

Draw takes Mamelodi Sundowns to 51-points after playing 26-games with 4-games to go.

Platinum Stars will remain at position 11 just four points away from the relegation zone with four games to go
