Bidvest Wits failed to claim all the three points against the 10-man Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala in an Absa Premiership match played on Tuesday.

Maritzburg United captain Kurt Lentjies was given a straight red card in the first half after a career-threatening tackle on Phumlani Ntshangase.

The visitors took the one-man-down advantage in the second half when Malajila converted a pass from Mahlambi to give Wits a lead with about twenty minutes to go.

However, Wits celebrations did not take long, four minutes later Maritzburg United found the equalizer with Mohau Mokate converting from un-cleared set-piece.

Bidvest Wits’s draw at Maritzburg United was enough to give them one point lead at the top of the log.
