Maritzburg United have announced the signing of Roger de Sa as their new head coach, the club’s chairman, Farook Kadodia confirmed in a press-conference.

The former Ajax Cape Town head coach has signed a three-year deal with the Team of Choice.

Now, the club has confirmed that De Sa has joined the club.

“Credit to Fadlu Davids and the rest of the technical team on doing a wonderful job after Middendorps departure. There was no rush is appointing a new Head Coach until we had found the right appointment for the Football Club,” the club’s chairman, Farook Kadodia said in a press-conference, as quoted off Maritzburg’s twitter account.

“I’ve had a long relationship with the Chairman and it’s great to be here. The support here in Pietermaritzburg is second to none, the squad is good and the vibe I get here is very positive,” De Sa added.

De Sa’s first game at the helm of the team will take place on February 8, when they travel away to face Luc Eymael’s Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership encounter.
