It is the first time in the history of the Premier League that a manager has won the prestigious monthly award for four successive times.
Pep Guardiola won the award in September, October and November as his side continue their dominance in the Barclays Premier League.
The Spaniard marshalled the Citizens to seven wins and draw in their last eight domestic matches last month, with only Crystal Palace holding the Blues in the Premier League while a much-changed City side were beaten by Shakhtar away in the Champions League.
Manchester City scored 19 goals in December and bagged four on three different occasions and saw off Spurs, West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Swansea, Leicester and Manchester United.
