Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to be prepared to pay Alexis Sanchez more than £350,000 (R530-millon) per week, as the club lead the chase to sign the Chilean.
According to reports Manchester United are confident of completing a £35m (R528,88-million) deal to sign Sanchez in front of rivals Manchester City, who have been linked him since the summer.
United are understood to be confident they have the right package in place to satisfy both the Gunners and Sanchez.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted on Sunday that the Chilean attacker could be gone within 48 hours after the two failed to reach a deal.
Wenger is set his eye on United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who could form part of the deal.
Man City are reportedly unwilling to pay more than £20m (R302,22-million) for a player who is out of contract in the summer, and unprepared to pay him more than their current stars such as Kevin de Bruyne.
United are happy to meet Arsenal’s £35m (R528,88-million) asking price, pay £5m (R75,55-million) to his agents, and hand the player more than £18m (R271,99-million) a year.
