Pirates awaits SuperSport at Orlando

Orlando Pirates will be eager to end their winless run in the Premier Soccer League  when they host SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.

Bucs are coming off a morale-boosting 1-1 draw with their rivals Kaizer Chiefs away in their previous league game – with Amakhosi’s Tshepo Masilela netting an own goal.
As a result Bucs have now recorded three consecutive draws in the league. They are also winless in 10 league games – having recorded six draws and four defeats.

Pirates are still placed 10th on the league standings with 22 points from 19 matches. They are only a point behind eighth-placed Maritzburg United.

Meanwhile, SuperSport will be out to extend their remarkably unbeaten record when they face off with the Buccaneers in Orlando, Soweto.

Matsatsantsa are coming off a disappointing goalless stalemate with Ajax Cape Town at home in their previous league game on Saturday.

The draw extended SuperSport’s unbeaten run to 18 league matches. They have registered eight draws and eight victories during their current run.

SuperSport are currently placed third on PSL standings with 36 points from 19 matches. They are only two points behind log leaders Cape Town City.

SuperSport hammered Pirates 6-1 when the two sides met in the first round league game four months ago.
