Manchester United are into to the EFL Cup final after securing a 3-2 aggregate victory over Hull City through a beautiful tap in equalising goal from Paul Pogba.
Pogba score early in the second-half, notching his seventh goals in al competitions – only Zlatan Ibrahimović has more goals for the Red Devils this season.
Jose Mourinho’s men began the match with 2-0 first-leg lead but that advantage was halved when Tom Huddlestone scored a first-half penalty. However, Pogba then restored parity on the night, as he put the spirited semi-finalists Tigers’ in an undesirable position, needing more goals to overcome United.
Before Omar Niasse’s goal earned the Tigers a 2-1 second-leg victory, but was not enough to change the outcome of the tie.
United will now meet Southampton in a David and Goliath clash on 26 February at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
