Proteas retains top spot on the ODI annual rankings

Standard Bank Proteas have retained their number one status in the world in One-Day Internationals after the May 1 annual update of the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team Rankings.

Australia also kept their position at number two, but eighth-ranked Pakistan has opened up a nine-point advantage over ninth-ranked the West Indies.

Both Pakistan and ninth-ranked West Indies have dropped points following the update.
