Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced Real Madrid transfer ban to one transfer window from 2017
Real Madrid’s ban on signing players has been reduced to one transfer window after the club’s appeal against a FIFA punishment for illegally buying under-age foreigners was partially upheld by the CAS.
CAS set aside FIFA’s decision to ban the Los Blancos from participating in the transfer market but imposed one transfer window ban the Spanish giants.
“Real Madrid CF is banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, for one entire transfer period (previously two),” CAS said.
Real Madrid’s R4882709.64 fine has been reduced to R3348143.75
