Croatia and Switzerland qualifies for Russia 2018 World Cup

Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifiers, Croatia and Switzerland secured their tickets to Russia 2018 with wins over Greece and Northern Ireland over their two-leg play-offs.

Croatia are headed to their fifth World Cup after defeating Greece over the two legs of the play-off. Led by captain Luka Modric, they did the job after their strong home performance in the first leg.

Greece were forced to go for goal in the second leg in Piraeus, but Croatia were solid in the back and looked comfortable throughout the match.

Switzerland is going to the World Cup they qualify for a 4️th consecutive World Cup and their 1️1th in total.

In each leg of Switzerland’s 1-0 aggregate win, the key incident involved one of Northern Ireland’s Evans brothers.

Switzerland needed only a draw Sunday to advance to Russia, and a tense 0-0 result in rain-soaked Basel was preserved by Rodriguez’s goal-line clearance in stoppage time from Jonny Evans’ header.
