South Africans flock to the OR Tambo International Airport to give the heroes of Mzansi, Mamelodi Sundowns “Bafana Ba Style, Champions of Africa, The Brazillians, Shoe-shine and piano boys” a warm welcome back home from a historical glory moment.
The South Africa champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, won their first ever CAF Champions League title on Sunday despite a 1-0 second-leg loss to Zamalek of Egypt in Alexandria.
Against all odds, “Bafana Ba Style” were crowned the Champions of Africa beating the highest ranked team in the continent, Zamalek, 3-1 in aggregate. Mamelodi Sundowns took huge advantage to Egypt after thrashing the Egyptian giants Zamalek 3:0 at home in Lucas Moripe Stadium – Attredgeville, South Africa on the first leg of the CAF Champions League finals.
