Thanda Royal Zulu won the National First Division (NFD) league to gain the automatic promotion back into the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after an eight-year absence.
The Kwa-Zulu Natal side beat the high flyers Stellenbosch FC 2-1 on Wednesday night to claim the 2016/2017 NDF Championship title.
With Thanda Royal Zulu joining South Africa’s top flight football KZN province will contest the league glory with about three team next season.
