Bidvest Wits in scoring spree, City sink Highlands park

Bidvest Wits enjoyed the scoring spree against Cape Town side Ajaxt Cape Townon an Absa Premiership match played in Johannesburg.

Ajax Cape Town felt the ‘Student’ wrath when they were handed a 5:0 white -wash defeat by Gavin Hunt’s men in the first official match of 2017 following a long festive and Afcon break.

Phakamani Mahlambi opened the scoring spree in the 20th minute and were followed by Hellings Mhango’s brace with James Keene, and captain Thulani Hlatshwayo finishing off Ajax.

The win moved Wits to the top of the log with 28 points from 14 matches – level with Cape Town City but two games behind.

Cape Town City maintained their winning streak in the expence of the relegation threatened side Highlands park, thanks to goals from Lebogang Manyama, Letsie Koapeng and Judas Moseamedi
