Chippa United defender Abel Mabaso scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minutes beating Itumeleng Khune from close range.
Mark Mayambela too easily went past the Chiefs defender and delivered a well-measured cross to his teammate, Abel Mabaso, who finished neatly. It was a set-back that Amakhosi were unable to recover from.
The victory took Chippa to the second on the Absa Premiership log standing with equal points to log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Baroka FC.
Amakhosi are now in seventh spot on the Absa Premiership log, having collected 16 points from 13 matches. That’s only three points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
