Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defender Eric Mulomowandau Mathoho has apologised to the fans for seeing two red cards in a space of 10 days, one for his club and another one for the country.

First Red-card: The lanky defender was sent-off for an early shower on the 23rd of August in an Absa Premier League match against SuperSport United with only six minutes into the game.
Second Red-card: He then again got another red card on the 1st of September in a FIFA WORLD CUP qualifier against Cape Verde Islands.
However, the 27 year-old has since apologised for the horrific two matches that led to losses for both his club and national team, with the teams losing 2-0 and 2-1 respectively after his dismissals.
Matoho issue public apology
“Following the two red cards which I was shown back-to-back, one on the 23rd August 2017 and another one on the 1st September 2017, which saw me suspended for both club and country, I am deeply disappointed in myself for the errors which led to my sending off on both games. I wish i could reverse the time and do things differently. I would like to sincerely apologise to the Chiefs family and South Africa at large. I hope that you will find it in your hearts to forgive me. I promise to do better next time”. Wrote Mathoho.
Mathoho’s presence in defence was greatly felt on Tuesday night when the National team were served with another 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cape Verde Islands to bring about the possibility of not qualifying for the 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP in Russia.
