The two El Clasico fixtures between La Liga rivals Real Madrid ‘Los Blacos’ and Barcelona ‘Barca‘ in  next season have been revealed.

La Liga has published its full fixture list for the 2017/2018 season, with the weekends for the two Clasicos now set.

As Real Madrid aim to defend their La Liga title for the first time in 10 years, their new campaign in Spain will begin against Deportivo La Coruna on the weekend of August 19.

Barcelona will face Real Betis at home in Valverde’s first competitive fixture on August 20, which will also be Betis’ manager Quique Setien’s first game in charge.

The first El Clasico of the season between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be a Christmas cracker, as Real Madrid will welcome Barcelona to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for the first Clasico of the 2017/18 season on Wednesday December 20, just four days after the final of the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi. It is expected that Real will request a slight delay to the fixture, and ask that it is moved to Thursday December 21 instead.

If there is a title race, the second meeting between the two sides, taking place at the Nou Camp, on the Sunday 6 May will certainly be intriguing – coming on the antepenultimate matchday of the season. Both fixtures are subject to being moved for TV, with kick-off times not yet confirmed.

The two Spanish giants are already due to play each other three times before the La Liga season begins, in the International Champions Cup on July 29, and in the two-legged Spanish Super Cup at the Camp Nou on Aug. 13 and the Bernabeu on Aug. 16.
